What's New 6/28/09 Daily Moving Avg(s) Script - This fantastic script will allow you to place up to 4 Daily Moving Averages on your tick charts, 2, 5, 30, 60 etc minute based charts where major Support & Resistance often lies. Default settings which we feel are best are the 10 Day MA, 20 Day, 50 and 200 Day Simple moving average. You will see that this script finds 15 to 50 good trades per week in currencies and hundreds for stock traders. 5/27/09 Enhancements 4/10/09 Bug Fixes - Fixed Spearman and Power Index Draw Color Strip value. It's now stationary. 3/17/09 FX Power Index - Now works in quote sheets / hotlists. You can sort which currencies have strongest/weakest FX Power Index. Many obscure bug fixes fixed. 2/26/09 Currency Preference - eSignal has a weird way of doing currencies. EUR/USD was EUR@TDFX A0-FX. If you right click on our Toolbar and go to Preferences you will see how we've cleaned this up! Under Symbol Preferences you can now select WHICH BANK TopGun uses for each currency. You can now use EURUSD for this pair USDJPY etc. IF TDFX has issues you can now change this preference and get another bank's data VERY FAST! Currency Meter.aws - This is now SORTABLE ! Using the quote sheet sort strongest/weakest and see the Currency Meter now in that order! 2/01/09 FX Power Index - Measures the % of currencies that support either buying/selling the currency you're watching. For example if the EUR is stronger than 100% of other pairs and USD weaker than 100% of other pairs it will show a 100% GREEN ranking letting you know this. We draw a dotted white line at the 80% level which is super strong! In testing this tool is equally as amazing and predictive as our FX Multimap tool and is a perfect compliment to it. Change Symbol Enhancement - You've always been able to left click on the chart and type in a new symbol. Now you can see what you're typing. Once done hit enter and the chart will change. Change Chart TimeFrame Enhancement - You can left click on chart and change time frames. Type in 5 enter to change chart to 5 min chart, 30 enter to change to 30 min chart. Period D for Daily Period W for Weekly and Period M for Monthly. 1/20/09 New Version - Reza Auto Fib script - This amazing AUTO Fibonacci tool works on time based charts from 1 to 10 minute and automatically draws our Fibonacci Retracements, Fib Targets and Fib Time Extensions. Bug Fixes in other tools 1/13/09 Reza Auto Fib script 1/12/09 Range Projection Audio Alert Bug Fix 1/2/09 Range Projection - We improved this tool with the Scaling Off option. This shows the statistical levels but does NOT affect the chart scaling. This is especially important for those trading currencies using the 1440 (Daily) option. It will drastically improve the way this tool looks on your charts. 12/30/08 Stability Enhancements - We made many improvements which should improve stability. 12/19/08 Stat Tools Script - Added Daily, 1 Std Dev, and 2 Std Dev Stat High/Low and high probability reversals show bigger circles. Currency Meter 2.aws - New workspace chart showing Histogram individual currency strength/weakness. Find currencies that are strong with +40 readings and weak currencies with -40 weakness and buy strong vs. weak or short weak vs. strong. Easiest way to find currencies MOST LIKELY TO CONTINUE moving in that direction. 12/11/08 Chart Window Resize in Pixels - Now you can take an existing chart and perfectly change its size. This lets us create better sample charts which you can then instantly resize to perfectly fit on your screen! Right click on chart you wish to change the size of and you will now see the height and width in pixels. Duplicate Window - Once you setup a chart the way YOU want it, it has NEVER been easier to take that chart and duplicate it and create an entire workspace. Simply right click on chart once it has the studies, scripts and tools you want and click Duplicate Window. Move it to where you want it and put a different stock or currency on it and when complete save your NEW WORKSPACE and you're done. What once took 20 to 30 minutes to setup a good workspace now takes only 5 minutes OR LESS ! Countdown Timer - Many traders have asked for a way to know how many minutes and seconds are left in a bar. Under chart settings you will now see Bar Count Down. Put in 5 if its for a 5 min count down, 15 for 15 min bar, etc. This will show up on the top right of the chart. Visual Enhancement - We've improved how our Chart Settings dialog box looks. 12/09/08 Mentor Students Only - Forex Systems.aws - New workspace for our Forex Mentor students. This has 2 charts for you to use to quickly create full workspace. Simply load this, then load again and UNCHECK "Clear current workspace before loading new workspace" then open it again. This will create 2 more charts which you can put a different currency in, move and/or resize if you desire. When complete with all the currencies you want up and on various layers if you wish click SAVE and save your workspace with a NEW name! 12/03/08 NR Breakout Script Update 11/27/08 NR Breakout Script - This amazing script can be setup as either an indicator or as a FULL TRADING SYSTEM. You can add as many as you wish to your charts with different options on each such as time frame, color of breakout lines, line thickness, and check "Show Entry Signal" if you wish to have Entry / Exit alerts. Email and Cell phone alerts enabled! This system finds LOW VOLATILITY bars and gives you low risk / high potential pip profits. This script is for our Forex mentor students only. 11/25/08 Data Feed Enhancements - We have rewritten our workspace loading code and the results are almost unbelievable - Most users are reporting workspaces load 75% faster! Before downloading any data we load the entire workspace and have an intelligent algorithm that downloads the most days first and now have put in bar data caching so that if a user asks for 5 charts of 2 min data where one has 20 days and all others 10 days then the 20 day chart data is loaded first and we cache that data and use it on all smaller days charts. Many other enhancements were included as well but in the last 6 years this is our biggest existing feature improvement yet! Stat Tools - This Forex Mentor only script has been enhanced to now show Std Deviation counter trend signals that showup as magenta circles on charts. New Audio Alerts! - Many new audio files were added to Alerts directory for use in your own scripts and future TopGun releases - S Dev High, S Dev Low, Strong, Weak, Trend Alert Buy, Trend Alert Sell 11/21/08 Auto Update! - Many users have asked for this for years, it allows you when logging in to see a new version and AUTOMATICALLY updates your version when new ones are available. Now that we have our visual basic language we will initially be updating possibly as often as twice a week and this will keep everybody up to date with our latest workspaces and trading systems! VB Script Template - When you right click on toolbar and left click Script Editor / File / Open you will see a Template.txt file which has ALL of our indicators all setup and programmed. This will save users HOURS of time creating their own indicators / alerts / and full trading systems! 11/14/08 Visual Basic Programming Language! - By far our most ambitious project is complete. You can now write your OWN tools, alerts, trading systems using the very powerful and flexible Visual Basic Programming Language. Unlike TradeStation and other lesser languages there is NOTHING you can not do with this language. Now you can write MULTI TIME FRAME trading systems that may use a 50 tick chart, 5 min data, 15 min data, hourly data, and even daily and weekly data to construct the kind of sophisticated trading systems that institutions and hedge funds use! You can use any of our sophisticated tools like Statistical Range Projection, Containment Bands, FX Multimap, and many more. Forex Mentor Students - Many of the trading concepts and systems we teach in our Forex class now show up LIVE on your charts telling you exactly when to buy & sell and our new sophisticated statistical trailing stops designed to catch MORE profit on big trend moves! 5/15/08 Hotlist Filter - There is a new hotlist filter that lets you scan any group of stocks, futures, foreign currencies and find those that are above (GT = Greater Than) or below (LT = Less Than) their X period (20 Default) bar (Hourly Default) simple moving average. This was specifically designed for our Forex traders as currencies above their hourly moving average tend to trend up while those below trend down. We advise setting up two hotlists to find BUY and SELL currencies and then use our auto linking to the charts. Sort strong currencies so strongest on top and set the auto sort to 15 to 30 seconds to keep it and the auto linked charts updated. Sort weak currencies weakest on top. New Workspace: pure trend 1600x1200.aws This workspace is designed for 1600x1200 resolution monitors and has 12 charts on layer 1 and 2, the hotlists showing strong and weak currencies are on layer 9 and our currency meter is on layer 10. Enjoy! It should make trading Foreign Currencies a LOT easier! 5/6/08 FX Multimap Trend Bars - This is by FAR our best trading tool ever created. It shows you intuitively on the chart the strength/weakness of the currency you're trading. Dark green is a strong uptrend and likely to continue. Buy small pullbacks to support or when it breaks trend line off the highs! As its going up if you see the dark green go lighter green or white the trend is over and likely to go sideways or reverse. Reverse directions above for shorting. 5/1/08 FX Multimap Enhancement - We have added the option "Plot Histogram Difference" which shows how much our FX Multimap Trend Strength has increased or decreased per bar. It is very useful for seeing when the market's about to make a big momentum move. If you see a bigger spike up than over last 6 to 12 hours look to buy breakouts off the highs OR we recommend using the Trendline Capture method for pullback entries. This method is taught in our Forex Trading Classes. FX Multimap Visual Enhancements - We now have included TOP.txt and BOTTOM.txt which shows the individual currencies. For example with EUR/USD the TOP.txt shows just the strength/weakness of the Euro. BOTTOM.txt shows the affect of the strength/weakness of the US Dollar. We've inverted the bottom currency color so that it is more intuitive to read. A Weak USD makes the EUR/USD go up so we color it GREEN and Red when the US Dollar is strong. We've also added a naming convention to our multimap text files to avoid confusion for new traders wondering what the TOP.txt and BOTTOM.txt files are! Tool Bar Change - Many traders run TWO versions of TopGun with different workspaces. We've been asked to put the name of the workspace in the title so when users Alt Tab between applications they can easily find the workspace they want. New Workspaces - In our trading room Brad and Johneee really go out of their way to help our new and existing traders find profitable trades. Their trading workspace and concepts are in 4star 1280x1024.aws and 4star 1600x1200.aws. The only difference between the two are resolution and the 1600x1200 one has the charts linked to our Currency Meter quote sheet so you can sort to easily find the strongest/weakest currencies ! Currency Meter.aws - Many traders have asked for our Currency Meter to be added to a workspace so they can easily add this to theirs. Simply click load and click on Currency Meter.aws THEN UNCHECK "Clear Currency Workspace before loading new workspace" and then click Open. It will be added then to your existing running workspace. Make sure to then resave your workspace.
Trading Zone Enhancement - Our trading zones now have Audio Alerts, Email Alerts and Cell Phone Text Message Alerts! We've also added the ability to ONLY show the strongest support/resistance levels. 3/14/08 Trading Zone Enhancement - We changed the format of the Trading Zone text file and this is a MUST upgrade. 3/11/08 Volume Histogram Enhancement - Many of our traders are using unfiltered volume to give increased clarity of buying/selling in the Forex market. However unfiltered charts are very messy and unclean. We solved the problem of them having to use two charts by showing unfiltered volume on filtered PRICE data charts! While Volume in Forex is not real volume but instead Bid tick changes it does show trading activity. We have added an Unfiltered Forex checkbox, check this to show all banks volume. Trading Zones - We spend about an hour a day analyzing all major currency pairs using Fibonacci Retracements, Fibonacci Profit Targets, Daily / Weekly / Monthly Highs/Lows, Weekly / Monthly Pivot Points and major moving averages combined with each currencies ATR (Average True Range). We set probable Buy and Sell zones using the above and have been emailing them each day to all of our Forex Mentor Students. Our new Trading Zones indicator PLOTS these buy/sell zones RIGHT on the chart! This feature is only for Forex Mentor students due to the huge time commitment each day. You will be emailed a password and directions for how to place these zones on your chart. 2/18/08 Multi Time Frame Containment Bands
- This amazing new tool lets you see maximum volatility. It uses past
statistical and volatility information and adjusts for the time of day. It is a
statistical tool that looks back X days and finds when current markets are

11/1/07 Single Currency Multimap Quote Sheets! - Now you can see the strength/weakness of each individual currency, ie the US Dollar by itself or the Euro. In the Quote sheet for symbol put in a * in front of the symbol, we then create SYNTHETIC symbols and do the analysis. US Dollar - *USD How to make money with the above? Simple!! Buy the strongest pairs vs. the weakest on pullbacks and short the weakest pairs against the strongest on small rallies up to resistance levels! Delete All Lines - Right click on Acuity Toolbar for new option New Workspace - Sample Layout.aws has all of our BEST Forex Tools!
10/30/07 Major Drawing Tool Enhancements! - You no longer need to click the T tool to bring up drawing tools. We've added the following short cuts. Control F - Fibonacci New Load Feature - Analyze Workspace will let you see how many charts and what charts are in your workspace. Some users are experiencing corrupted workspaces which they think should have 50 charts on but actually have 500! The huge data requests of 500 charts is making their workspace unusable. This new tool will let traders know how many and what types of charts they have in their workspaces. Chart Examples Directory - Lets you take sample charts and build your own Forex workspace very quickly. These charts have on the same tools we are using in our in house trading. 9/26/07 Forex Whole/Half Number - Whole and half numbers now show up more clearly and are excellent places of support & resistance. Pivot Enhancements - The new pivot points let you determine the width of each. We recommend 10% for daily, 30% weekly and 60% monthly pivots. Now you can visually know what each one is by the length. Bug Fixes - We fixed many bugs and improved stability. 9/03/07 New Currency Meter - Now in Quote Sheets and shows you the 60 min, 3 hour, half day, daily and 3 day trends of all currencies and automatically links them to charts. Now traders can have two scans up, sort one for strongest currencies and auto link to 6 to 10 charts and another for weakest currencies which auto sort and auto link to 6 to 10 other charts. We've made trading incredibly simple, sit back and watch the strongest pairs, buy pullbacks using our three entry techniques taught in our Daily Forex Class Displaced Moving Averages - Our moving average tool has been improved to now show displaced moving averages and with new thickness selection. Shorter term moving averages have LESS LAG but more whipsaws! By displacing a short moving average, i.e. 5 or 10 MA 3 to 5 bars into the future you get the benefits of low lag and reduce MOST of the losing whipsaw trades! The key to using this 6/21/07 FX Multimap- We have improved this tool again to let you create your own multimaps, adjust the weights, adjust which banks our filter uses. You can now create a multimap of just the currency you're trading ie EUR compares itself to GBP,CHF,JPY and CAD. Sample configurations are in software cm.txt is for each currency by itself and mm.txt is the normal multimap. We've also included a Lite version for traders who have very slow internet connections, it will now let them use these great tools! 6/12/07 FX Multimap- We have improved this great tool to let you show the trend of longer time frames in the smallest space possible using our Draw Color Only option. We suggest Forex traders use 720 (half day) and 4320 (3 Day) Trends. We have also heat mapped this tool so it shows you HOW strong/weak the trends are. Major improvement. 6/7/07 Previous Week's High / Low- Its very important to know where the previous week's high and low is on your charts. In the Forex especially the markets frequently stall at the previous weeks high and reverse 10 to 30 pips but when they break through there are great trending trades. Same applies to the previous week's low for a bounce at first touch and continuation down once broken. Also watch when a previous week's low is broken from the downside up, this often leads to a nice upside rally. 6/5/07 Maximize / Minimize - Double click on charts to maximize / minimize charts to that monitor's screen. You may also right click on chart and Maximize / Minimize option on top. Perfect for seeing BIGGER picture and drawing trend lines, channels and Fibs! 6/1/07 Position Sizer- Helps Forex Traders know how many lots to trade and scale in levels while maintaining low risk % per trade. To use this new tool press the DOWN arrow to remove transparency, every time you press it the transparency lowers by 5%. Hitting UP arrow adds to the transparency. 3/19/07 New support tool! Previous Releases What's New We have added about 20 new indicators that are amazing at predicting market direction. Our balance point tool now works on the major sectors (Semi, Technology, Drugs, Banks, Oil, Retail) and Indexes (S&P, NASDAQ, DOW and Russell 2000). We also show real time buying and selling volume for all sectors and indexes. Also in this beta is our new intelligent trailing stop. This new version has many stability enhancements. Reported Bug in NYSE/NASDAQ Volume tool fixed. Auto Updating - When we release an update to Acuity Workstation, our software will detect the update and notify you. In the case of critical updates, Acuity will automatically update itself for you. Setting Quote Sheet / Hotlist Fields - Now you can select which fields you wish to view in quote sheets and hotlists and save as default. The next time you open a quote sheet or hotlist it will only have the fields you want. To read how to do this in our manual, click here. Rng30% - This shows you how far your stock, index or sector has moved during this 30 min range compared to the average movement for this time period. Vol30% - This quote sheet/hotlist field shows you how much volume has traded during this 30 min bar compared to the average volume for this time period. Range Projection Chart Study - This new chart indicator plots the avg high/low on your charts for any time period you wish. For example the default settings plot the avg 30 min range on your charts. You can only use a time frame chart that divides into the range you wish to project. For instance if you use 30 mins you can not have a 13 min chart because 13 does not divide into 30 evenly. We recommend using standard time period charts such as 1, 3, 5, 15, etc. Layers -Now you can multiply your monitors 4X by using our simple layers. Right click on any chart / quote sheet / or hotlist and set it to the layer you want it on. On toolbar layer is OFF if numbered button 1, 2, 3, or 4 is pushed in. It is ON if out. The last layer you select will go over top of any previous visible layers. Multilinking - Now supports up to 20 charts. You can now automatically watch up to 20 stocks from any hotlist or quote sheet. New Drawing Tools - Direction on how to add lines and trendlines can be found here. New DTN Drivers - Our new version uses DTN 2.3 drivers which GREATLY speed up daily data downloads. You will find our hotlist filters work much faster now too. Squat Bar Indicator - This is an amazing tool for finding high probability of stock reversals. It uses narrow range bars and/or volume to show potential stock reversals. One thing you will notice is that while this indicator doesn't always work, if it shows a reversal that doesn't happen the move in the opposite direction can be very large. Spread - This tool will show you the spread (difference) between two stocks. Traders can use this for pairs trading where they buy the weaker of two highly correlated stocks and short the stronger in an attempt to return to parity. ADX Trend Indicator - We have a new indicator DMI / ADX which shows you the strength of the current trend and when it changes. New Integration with Order Entry and Charting - Simply select the same color in chart, quote sheets, and hotlists and order entry and with a mouse click send that symbol to the order entry window. New 3 Point Break Charting - Excellent for determining current trend and turning points, 3 Line Break Charts can also be used for both day trading, swing trading and make excellent places to trail your stops. Increased Stability - One of the most significant enhancements is our new crash dump reporting. Now if there is ever an issue that causes application failure, you can automatically email us a crash dump report which lets us see not only what caused the crash but gives us the line of code that caused it! We have given this new version to some of our beta testers and have fixed a few previously impossible to find issues. This is our most solid and stable release to date. If you do get a crash, our turnaround time so far in fixing each issue is about 2 hours. New Indicator: PT Squat Bar - Excellent for timing entries and exits Tooltip - You can now view open,high,low, close, and volume for any stock by
